Maikaya Development Foundation Sponsors Doma Fa Peace And Unity Cup Football Tournament
The maiden edition of Doma FA Peace and Unity Cup football competition sponsored by Maikaya Development Foundation ended in a grand style yesterday at the Central Primary School Playground of Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa State The final match which drew a mammoth crowd of football enthusiasts was played between AYD FC of Doma and Shooting Stars FC of Lafia. The match ended 1:1 in the regulation time. But AYD FC defeated Shooting Stars in the penalty shootout. The winning team went home with the trophy and prize money while the runners up equally went home with prize money meant for second position. Highlight of the event was the presentation of Award of Excellence by the organizers of the competition to Maikaya Development Foundation for their relentless effort in promoting grassroot football development in the State. They used the opportunity to formally convey their utmost appreciation to the multiple award winning Foundation. Congratulations to all the participating teams. More wins to all the young people in Nasarawa State.
